Privacidad en Facebook

Son muy interesantes las reflexiones sobre los pros y contras que se están dando sobre las políticas de privacidad en Facebook y sus posibles consecuencias para sus miembros. La lectura de este párrafo que se incluye en la política de uso de Facebook es realmente preocupante:

"By posting User Content to any part of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to the Company an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute such User Content for any purpose on or in connection with the Site or the promotion thereof, to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such User Content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. You may remove your User Content from the Site at any time. If you choose to remove your User Content, the license granted above will automatically expire."

Y en su política de privacidad se incluyen oraciones como está:

“We may use information about you that we collect from other sources, including but not limited to newspapers and Internet sources such as blogs, instant messaging services and other users of Facebook, to supplement your profile.”

“We may share your information with third parties, including responsible companies with which we have a relationship.”

En este video se argumenta sobre una posible relación entre Facebook, la CIA y el Departamento de Defensa:



Esto nos lleva a pensar en que tenemos una obligacion de educar a la gente sobre el valor que tiene su privacidad, y de alarmarlos acerca del posible uso de nuestros datos para controlarnos y manipularnos. Por último, nos pone en duda a la hora de subir cualquier tipo de informacion nuestra.
